Invitation to House of Lords Discussion on Preventing Violent Extremism

Lord Ahmed and The Cordoba Foundation invite you to a discussion on Preventing Violent Extremism (PREVENT) to address recent revelations of spying on the Muslim community and the ramifications on present and future security and community relations:



Speakers include:

  • Arun Kundnani, Institute of Race Relations (IRR)

  • Robert Lambert MBE, Co-Director of the European Muslim Research Centre

  • Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain

  • Oliver McTernan, Director of Forward Thinking

  • Saleh Mamun, Campaign Against Criminalising Communities

  • Dominic Grieve QC, MP, Shadow Home Secretary (tbc)  amongst others to be announced shortly


The meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th October 2009 at 6.45pm in  Committee Room 3 at the House of Lords. Entrance is via the St Stephen's Entrance, please allow 15 minutes for security checks.
